The Bombay High Court recently awarded temporary relief to the Indian Express Group in a defamation suit filed against the owners of Sprouts e-paper.
Indian Express sued Umesh Gujarathi and King Branding Pvt Ltd for defamation and demanded Rs. 100 crore in damages after they published pieces in Sprouts that claimed Girish Kuber, editor of Express' Marathi daily Loksattahad violated journalistic ethics.
